I Resolve to Not Dissolve

I've never actually made New Year's resolutions before but this coming year there are so many positive things looming in the distance that it seems logical to promise myself to keep trucking through the proverbial snow. I've made very good friends this year and met the most wonderful crop of human beings this earth has to offer so knowing they will be there in the new year is comforting.

I like to believe I'm a babe at life and that I'm ever growing though often stumbling backwards from fear. My resolution is to work past and confront all those little fears and insecurities, especially in social situations, where my personal awkwardness can be perceived as cynicism and sarcasm (I assure you it's nothing more than a concrete wall of defense mechanisms, but concrete is breakable, isn't it?).

I don't say this enough, I do love the people in my life...truly, in that universal love way.
